My best guess on the unusual SDR moves, with a big assumption that the IMF is correct, is that they're seeing non-public factors in the DX and Yuan like even less money creation than is being reported and more money creation and political upheaval than is being reported in Euro countries, Japan and the U.K. All three of them are showing moves against the SDR opposite to the Dollar and Yuan recent moves... and of course the FX markets. I only track those 5 currencies against the SDR, FWIW.
