Monopoly?, you may not have read that Compaq's PC's below $1200. are all going to be AMD. IBM using AMD/Cyrix.

If you disallow Intel's coop program, you would cut PC advertising by close to 50%. This would not be good for Intel, but it would also not be good for AMD or anyone else in the industry, including all component makers and box makers. Besides, it just doesn't make any sense.
