lolol. great stories. the only time i ever followed - or even knew about; i never paid him a penny - a speed sexton trade was when he was in print calling for a crash in 1987. arch was everywhere in print, including the new york times i think and/or maybe barrons, with his "harmonic convergence" which all the mainstream timers laughed about.

and then he nailed the exact high! greatest call in market history, all in print in major publications, all in advance. i was taking zweig's phone service at the time. his warnings became more dire. i got out of everything; and then short.

my own worry was the "portfolio insurance" idea. so many big houses had assured their big clients that they were protected by portfolio insurance that i knew it would not work IF tested. it was basically a stop under the market. and yep, it hit all those stops late that friday and on monday's open and there were no buyers.

there's more but i have blabbed enough for a loooong time. :-)
