Firefox has worked great for me over the years. The slowdowns (slow response on clicks, slow loading) have started only recently on my Windows 10 and Windows 7 machines. Coincident with Microsoft's recent security patches? Probably coincidence. At any rate, Edge is performing extremely well on my Windows 10 machine and Chrome is showing very little lag on my Windows 7 machine, so that works for me, for now. No other issues on these machines. I use them for day trading so speed is of the essence with my other platforms.
