What the alternative would have been? First off, the alternative right now is Pence. No way will Hillary be President. ------------ Aren't you the guy who lives in Europe? I forget where, but it doesn't matter. Whichever country it is, you know don't you that Donald Trump would like to cut the whole place loose and let Putin bat the place around as he chooses. ------------------- Yes, I do believe any conservative Republican could have beaten Hillary .. her own party doesn't like her. And my 'real' conservatives actually ARE REAL conservatives. --------------------- So come on, give us all and in particular those, who had the courage to vote for Trump in spite of all his short-coming and lack of experience as a politician, some credit, the credit they all deserve! I've always distinguished between those who voted for him with their nose held and the true cultist believers. But it looks like now you've all become true believers. Look at you, coming up you attack conservatism as dead: ----------------------------- Conservatism vintage style and your way, just like liberalism bottled back in the 1970s, is all but dead, gone to the grave and just waiting for the final ceremony. Not to me. Conservatism still works and liberalism still doesn't. The few elements of non-conservatism that Trumpist populism puts forward .... trade wars, abandoning allies, and appeasing hostile powers ..... isn't new, has been tried before back in the 1930's and it failed then and will fail in the future. We're not really in a new world with new rules. The same old world, the same rules work.
