Tom,
Just started reading his book . . . but he seems to advocate using long term charts and an approach similar to Stan Weinstein's stage analysis. He recommends that one should buy shares near the multi-year low in " the low-level period called the base " a period where the so called smart money is accumulating shares. This is the safest long term point to buy shares. He ends the introduction chapter by stating " If you will study these pictures with an open mind, I will show why the ' sleepers ' are the bargains, and that they are the ones that have the largest potential profits.
I agree with his approach of buying out of favor stocks and holding them. I also like Al Frank author of the Pruduent Speculator's approach to buying undervalued stocks and holding them until the price reflects the fundamental value.
