hello mq, consider some possibilities, that

(0) the pain of shorting tesla is not the same as the anguishing of long gold

(1) hyuna knows what she is doing, and

(2) elon also knows what he is doing, and he is playing w/ you and your cohort

(3) panic, is rational, best done when can still do some good, early

(4) whether irrational exuberance or short-squeeze, the efficacy of the two protocols are good, and result same, losses

(5) when the ship starts to sink, do not pray, but jump

Elon Musk just took another jab at the short sellers who keep getting burned by Tesla's surging stock.

"These guys want us to die so bad they can taste it," he tweeted, referring to the pessimists who have made Tesla the most shorted company in the US stock market.

Minutes before, he had tweeted an Investopedia article that cited a report from the financial analytics firm S3 Partners saying investors were holding short $10.4 billion of Tesla stock. " Could be worse," he said.

Tesla's stock is up by 72% year-to-date, more than eight times the S&P 500.

This isn't the first time Musk has made light of the considerable short activity swirling around his company's stock.

On April 3, when Tesla's stock was already up a whopping 30% for the year, Musk tweeted "Stormy weather in Shortville ..."

The stock surged by 7% to a record high that day on news the company made a record number of deliveries in the first quarter. That increase cost short sellers $488 million in just one day, S3 data showed.

About 30 minutes later, Musk defended the company's long-term valuation. Responding to claims that the stock was too pricy, he said: "Tesla is absurdly overvalued if based on the past, but that's irrelevant. A stock price represents risk-adjusted future cash flows."

Following his first two tweets on Thursday, Musk fired off another that proved he was typing with his tongue firmly lodged in his cheek.

"Just wish they would stop sticking pins in voodoo dolls of me. That hurts, ok?" he wrote.

I have been watching TSLA. It is overextended here. I took a small short position @ 375
The entire market is becoming overextended but looks to me like the SPY can still go a little further before a pullback....and could pull this beast along with it.
