Melissa,

(I don't know what meeting this was)

I believe the meeting was set up by Morgan Stanley (I think it is an annual affair) and many hi-tech companies presented to the investors.

BTW, what are doji's?

Melissa ... re: 'mentioning' on CNBC ... Also on CNNfn today..

An analyst mentioned PSFT as a good choice on CNNfn this morning during a discussion of what market segments and stocks are likely to do well in 1998. This person of course mentioned continuing urgency due to Y2K.

I find that just about anytime an analyst is on CNNfn who dabbles in the tech area, that PSFT and/or SAP comes up - as long as the software topic comes up and they (incl. interviewers) do not simply concentrate on the IBM's and MSFT's and DELL's. Sometimes I think these TV programs think that that is all there is to the tech sector.

Not that I put much weight on comments tossed out in an early morning interview - I don't see those things moving markets. At least not like a stock upgrade or downgrade released by a major 'house'.
