Jerry, Are these spot market prices for EDO or SDRAM? My normal source for retail prices (www.thechipmerchant.com) shows that EDO is
up but SDRAM is down and is now below EDO.

I suspect that we are now witnessing the end of EDO concurrent with the end of the SIMM.

Any guesses about the impact of 16 MBit pricing on the 64MBit transition? Looks to me like it could start any day now.

In any case, it is no surprise that 16MBit are going up since $2.10 was probably below the marginal production cost of almost everyone. I expect that price to oscillate a round the mean marginal production cost for a while a higher prices cause higher production which causes lower prices which causes lower prices.....
