Nothing says "obstruction" like firing the person investigating you for obstruction. It also says, "I'm guilty as hell", but that's a different matter.

1) Here is Robert Mueller's biography.

Steve Deace?Verified account @SteveDeaceShow
2) He just celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife.

3) He won multiple commendations as a Marine in Vietnam, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

4) He's been a Republican a lot longer than Trump, including being appointed a U.S. Attorney by Reagan.

5) He was confirmed, 98-0, to be FBI director. A senate that was evenly divided at the time.

6) He served so capably in his 10-year/post-9/11 term that President Obama asked him to stay on two more years.

7) In short, from a valor, integrity, and service to the country standpoint, Robert Mueller is everything Donald Trump is not.

[ This is the good and honorable man that Trumpers will be bashing soon. ]

8) Now, I get partisan politics, and Mueller is no shrinking violet. He knew what he was getting into when he agreed to the job.

9) That being said, attacking Mueller or encouraging Trump to fire him is THE ABSOLUTELY DUMBEST DUMBASSERY you can think of.

10) Outside of his cult and partisan shills, there is simply no way Trump can defeat Mueller in the court of public opinion.

11) So making a martyr out of a guy who is the All-American hero story is how you Swiftboat yourself. Good luck with that.

12) That's what you want to do. Have a draft dodger who called avoiding his STDs his "personal Vietnam" attack a decorated vet. Dumbasses.

13) I didn't even vote for Trump, but because he's done some good things I'd like to see him keep doing, I'll help him/you anyway.

14) So here's the best advice you're gonna get: learn from the Clinton era.

15) Clinton era taught us it doesn't matter if you catch a president committing a crime on tape, if country's doing well most won't care.

16) If there was no t.co boom and an anemic recovery, like we have now, Bubba would've been toast.

17) But since the country was humming, most folks said "well I hate 'em all anyway, so what do I care if his wife doesn't?"

18) Really repeal Obamacare, cut taxes, grow the economy, and kill lots of terrorists. Do that and it won't matter what Mueller says.

19) Do those things, make more good judicial appointments, and won't matter if Mueller has video of Putin handing Trump a cashier's check.

[ Well, it will to some of us. But Deace's advice could work for Trump if he could put the phone down. But he can't stop being what he is.
]
20) Most folks will say "they're all liars and corrupt but this one leaves me alone." Just like they did with the Clintons.

21) The best revenge is governing well. Govern well, Mr. President, and it won't matter what is claimed or proven. That's how America works.

22) So if you want to see President Trump beat this, don't encourage him to go all "that one Mexican judge" on an American hero.

23) Encourage him to fight back where most people care the most -- by pursuing public policies that make their lives better.

24) But if you persist in encouraging him to make it Trump v. Mueller he will lose. Either in court of public opinion, or impeachment court.

25) Encourage Trump to think with his Northern hemisphere for a change. Not everything is a nail and he's the hammer.

26) But I get it. I'm not willing to beclown myself for Trump, so I don't care what happens to his presidency.

27) So, by all means, continue down the road to Perdition you're currently on.

28) Just remember: between Mueller and Trump, one guy has literally fought to the death. The other is named Trump. So good luck with that.

29) But at least when that Southern hemisphere thinking blows up in your face again, you can't say you weren't warned.

Why is Newt reversing course on Mueller? I think because he's been told Trump will fire Mueller. Which means Trump and his team know he can't survive a real investigation. He's dirty. An innocent man would never bring this down on him.
