Holly, according to their last press release:

- GalaGen Inc. (Nasdaq: GGEN - news) and Lifeway Foods (Nasdaq: LWAY - news) today announced a product launch in selected Midwest outlets in the U.S. and in Eastern European markets of the new line of supplements developed by the two companies

A Lifeway investor from Chicago that I know recently spoke with the company and they said that BASICS PLUS is being test marketed in several stores in the Chicago area. He said he was going to buy a bottle and see what it was all about.

You can call Lifeway and find out where it is being sold. If you do decide to call, why don't we all come up with some questions that you can ask and then post the answers.

I took advantage of the Holidays with families getting together to do some more kefir taste tests. First I gave some to my girlfriend's 62 year old mother and she loved it. She asked for another glass full. When she finished it she said something that was music to my ears. She said that if her tongue was long enough she would have licked out the inside of the glass.
I then gave a shooter glass (2 oz.) of kefir to the 2 year old nephew. He gulped it down and held the glass out to me for more. He can't speak sentences yet. I gave him more and he drained it right away. I had to give him 6 glasses of it before he was through. His 7 year old sister asked for more also. My brother's 8 year old son drank 2 quarts over the holidays. I have a feeling that children will be drinking most of the kefir in this country. I believe they think it's a milk shake. Friends at work have made similar comments about their children and kefir.

I take it Holly that you have some children? How did they like it? Now that you can buy it, try giving it to your friends and see what they think.

Yesterday morning Stuart Varney (CNN Fn) did an interview on high growth stocks. Wild Oats was mentioned. Hopefully LWAY will be helping to increase their growth further.

My 9 year old son visited over the holidays. I showed him the strawberry kefir in the fridge and made a point not to mention or try to push it on him for the 2 weeks. He finished 2 quarts. Hopefully all kids will suck down a quart a week.

Two days ago on CNN a study revealed fish lowers (by 52%) the chance of heart disease. We hear about these studies everyday describing the advantages of certain food on our bodies. Can anyone tell me how to research if a study is presently being conducted on the effect of kefir on us?
LWAY's pamphlet quotes "Kefir friendly bacteria also produce specific antibiotic substances which can control undesirable micro-organisms and acts as anti-carcinogenic (anti-cancer)."
