Thomas,
If the agreement is for FTEL to set up its own DVG's for FNET's use rather than WCOM's, then the profit potential for FTEL is magnified at least five times. I agree that it is tough to turn a profit as an ISP today, but then how many ISPs are providing communications over the internet today? There is huge profit in communications over the internet if the quality is as good as regular phone service. I believe FTEL's technology has already been proven.
I said yesterday that FTEL's "big brother" better have access to both domestic and international network facilities and they certainly delivered. To give you an idea of what this agreement is worth, our business case for internet communications reflected net margins of between 30% and 40% using toll rates of $0.075 per minute. Today's toll providers are seeing net margins of about 20% using toll rates averaging better than $0.15 per minute. What kind of profit picture does this present to you?
I will be buying again in the morning.
