They definitely have better housekeeper than me.

Interesting battery tech moves way slow compared to chips and software. These gigantic plants seem like the solution.

Lithium seemed to be a problem for awhile... gone away?

Trump put my retirement plans on hold... but I'm still thinking about how to semi--homestead without hooking up to the grid. Part of the solution seems like simple cheap solar with batteries. A shed with cordless lithium batteries and a cheapo solar panel seems like it would do it for me most of the time.

Same with interior lights. I use some LED lights that pull less than a watt.

It gets more complicated for tools that pull larger amounts of power like wood planers or refrigerators. I need stuff that is cheap and a dirt mechanic can put together without burning the cabin down.

: v )

I have this idea where I'll put a roof (Steel building) over my roof so the entire house is in the shade all the time. No air conditioning needed. Some people do that with trailers.

Eh... maybe someday. Until then I'm NOT enjoying the freeways in San Diego.
