David, While you are short against the box, your long position is frozen time-wise as far as progressing towards LT cap gain status. IOW, if you are long for 5 months, then short against the box and hold that position for 3 months before covering, your long position is still only 5 months old on its way to 1-1 1/2 year hold. Also, you MUST buy shares in the open market to cover--you cannot use your shares anymore to close the position. (Rubin must have had something to do with this, being an ex Goldman Sachs man, as it generates another trade to charge you commissions on.) Tuna--looks like Asensio was correct on shorting ZONA. No comment on TA--tired of being called crazy by fundamentalist neophytes<GG>. Regards, Gary
