That's really what I was saying when I said they may 'mark it up'. In other words, "gap" the open then move it lower as the day moves on. As you say, however, each situation is different. It's just what I would expect. I believe there is a brief discussion on playing this type of situation on a thread called momentum trading. I'll get the URL and update this post in a moment. ~~~~~~~~~~ EDIT. Not really much there to go by.
