I agree. It's sad. Cognitive dissonance big time. People prefer their ideologies to reality. But it's still better to do them than not to do them.

BTW, the converse is also true. We see something working somewhere and assume that it would work somewhere else without considering the differences between the places. Single payer is an example of that.

We tried your idea in 2009/10. Talk about a bust. A trillion bucks down the drain.

Supply side economics was solely responsible for the longest period of sustained economic growth since the Great Depression. So, I guess you're just way, way wrong.
