Here's your back of the envelope.
1. Somebody's oxen would be gored, if we went to single payer: insurance companies & drug companies come to mind instantly.
2. Then, doctors' work loads would probably be cut by 40%...just by not constantly having to fill out insurance forms. Hospitals could concentrate on health care, instead of dollar care. Administrative cost would shrink.

3. People would see their doctors more often, instead of emergency rooms.
4. Is Canada or Germany going broke providing health care?
