What gave me type II was my career as a software engineer. 70 hour weeks planted on my ass in front of a computer, often eating delivered food in front of the same. Something you don't think of going into it. Semi-retired now, I make sure any job I take has some physical component, even if it pays less that what I could earn otherwise. It's paying off with renewed health. My pancreas is probably too beat up for me to get cured completely, but, I'm trying to lose even more weight and see..
