Because Luntz convinced many Republicans that the phrase "climate change" was less scary than the phrase "global warming" and had less of a sense of urgency. And the media picked that up. That is where the phrase came from. Your team. Like the phrase "assault rifle". It first turned up in gun ads. It then made its way into the general vernacular. Now gun nuts, like Eric, try to pretend it was gun control advocates who made up the term to demonize one of their revered weapons... Your team has the attention span of an earthworm. No wonder you like Trump. He too says things then turns around and denies he ever said it.
