''They desperately need a voice-over-Internet strategy,'' she said. ''People would like to believe it's easy to slap voice onto a data network, but there are a whole bunch of complicated issues that data guys don't know about. NetSpeak has one of the best reputations in the industry for its technology.'' NetSpeak, in turn, ''gets an awesome distribution channel'' through its deal with Bay as well as much-needed cash for development efforts, she said.
