Yes you are. Even assuming your numbers are correct, and I can't find a source for them, it is much less than we spend on wars per year. I have never seen you screaming over how those costs are irreversibly damaging the *global* economy. So yeah, you are being hysterical. Besides, there are more reasons to invest in green technologies than just climate change. Energy independence is one. Air and water pollution is another. Those are important, too. Besides, you are pretending that other forms of energy are not being subsidized. They are. From oil, to natural gas, hydroelectric, nuclear and coal, they are all subsidized. And that has been true for decades. Heck, we even subsidize oil companies for oil exploration. Something that their businesses depend on and hardly need encouragement to do so...
