I have a laptop (my secondary machine) with most everything I have installed on my desktop ( my primary machine). I use the laptop as an install tester for my desktop. The hardware and drivers are different, but I find if it is working ok on my laptop and I can play with it awhile before adding to my desktop it generally saves on most install problems I do beta testing for a few software programs.

I've read numerous articles about the Creative Update for software developers and it was very confusing.
