I don't know Devon but the stock was trading below $20 US in Feb, 2016 so it could get back to that area on this current decline. Or not. Its currently trading around $30, so losing 10 bucks on a 30 buck trade would be painful, but might position you to pick up $20 if it turns and climbs to $50 which it hit in Dec, 2016. How are its financials ? Prospects ? What aspect of oil does it participate in ? What is its market cap ?

Another aspect, DVN pays a 6 cent a quarter dividend. So not a cash cow yet. XOM paid a 77 cent quarterly dividend earlier this month. CVX paid a $1.08 a few days later, also a quarterly div. By timing my trades appropriately I was able to snag both of those divs with the same invested money. Something to think about as you wait for the long term to work its magic.
