I'm fortunate to live where I live and have FIOS available from the worlds 2nd largest telcoms company since Verizon halted its FTTH/FTTP expansion several years ago. Pricey? Yes, although I could reduce the monthly cost considerably by paring back entertainment features and services if 'She(ila) Who Must be Obeyed' would let me. A good value? Unquestionably the best value available to me for a full service triple play.

Eric

When I lived in Seattle area I had Frontier Fios previously Verizon I loved it. It was very fast and reliable and I never got emails about download caps or excessive monitoring of my usage etc.

I did have problems because I could not get Fios TV in that area due to competition with Comcast and city local government.

Over the years I have dial-up, DSL, Cable and Fios and Fios is by far the best. I wish I could try out google fios.

Fios is by far the best service IMHO.
