Ross; The phone cos have been harping on this for a long time now. There is some validity to their complaints as you connect for hours on end compared to the usual phone patterns. Of course lots get extra phones, so if metered they would cut down and the telco would lose those extra lines. Also cable modems are nearly here, and they are 400 times as fast, depending on the downstream traffic, and only twice as much.
