(not holding my favorite stock at this moment, anyway)

Teri,

Pleeease don't tell me you called the top last October. This last downturn hit me like a cold fist. I had expected 10-20% drops on the road to the cyclic peak. Not a 55% pummelling. When and why did you sell? TIA

Brian

Hey Teri - Happy New Year.
1. They were gaining mkt share going into this mess and do well in downturns.
2. The group has greatly discounted the Asian problems. Enough? We'll see.
3. Die shrinks may decrease dram going forward (still beating that drum.)
4. 300mm. (See above.)
3. I have to own something - that's my job.
Major problems -
1. Zero visibility.
2. Cap utilization is now below 80%, so no price power.
3. Real short lead times - it is a equip buyer's mkt. (Big reason for visibility problems.)
4. Not cheap enough.
5. Stock market extended.

So pass the zantac.
