GXM vs K6 is performance. As far as we know, the GXM still uses a 486/586 integer unit

GXm is going to fall short for number of other reasons than the core. K6 will have an L2 cache, and L1 is 64K. GXm has no L2 and, unless something changed, L1 is only 16K.

Also, MediaGX performed slightly below Pentium, and K6 is faster than Pentium.

What MediaGXm needs badly is 64K or higher L1.
