ISIS fighters are given 'passports to paradise' in a desperate bid to convince

ISIS militants have been issuing 'passports to heaven' to encourage members to carry out suicide attacks and keep control of its self-declared capital, Raqqa. Copies of the passports were discovered by Syrian Defence Forces in newly liberated neighbourhoods of the northern Syrian city, and photos of the documents were posted to social media.

ANNALS OF HYPOCRISY: Lawmakers Want Trump’s Tax Returns, but Won’t Release Their Own.

Only a handful willing to release documents to Roll Call

It does, however, illustrate that the income tax is an invasion of privacy.

Rep. Ben Ray Luján — like many in Congress — wants President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.

Transparency, the New Mexico Democrat said recently in a Facebook post, “is a cornerstone of democracy.”

But he doesn’t want to release his own tax returns. And that puts him in good company on both sides of the aisle.

Roll Call sent a request to all of the nation’s senators and representatives — more than 500 in all — to release their tax returns. Only 37 responded, and of those, six provided the documents. ...

Treacherous Mueller's legal team approaching size of entire US Attorney’s Office for Rhode Island

When Robert Mueller was first appointed Special Counsel, I thought, given his generally good reputation, that this might be a streamlined process with fewer leaks, focused on either proving or disproving allegations of Russian interference. But I did acknowledge, for example in this radio interview, that there was a risk that in the wrong hands the powers vested under the Order appointing Mueller could be abused: “He will have the authority to investigate and the authority to prosecute any crimes that he finds, and the scope of what he’s investigating under the order is fairly broad, it’s anything related to...

EXCLUSIVE: Sen. Durbin’s Office Won’t Release Emails With GOP Baseball Shooter

Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin’s office will not release reported email correspondence with anti-GOP shooter James Hodgkinson. An Associated Press report says, “Hodgkinson also visited the office of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose campaign he had worked on as a volunteer, and was in email contact with the two Democratic senators from his home state.” The “two Democratic senators from his home state” of Illinois would presumably be Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth.
