AP Newsfeed, 17:33 Mystery of Drilling Stocks Fall Explained Today after market close it was revealed that Sears had been having a January Clearance Sale on oil-drilling stocks, causing the sector to collapse. "Everything Must Go!", said a Sears spokesperson who declined to be named. When asked by the press why Sears was dabbling in the stock market, the red-faced spokesperson called corporate HQ. Snippets of the discussion were overheard, mainly consisting of outburts like, "... but I could have SWORN you said drilling stocks boss!". The Spokesperson confirmed that, "OK folks, the sale is OVER!" late in the afternoon.
