Today's Commentary: 01/07/98

Trading volume and prices moved upward strongly on select
16 meg devices (i.e. 4Mx4 EDO SOJ). Manufacturer
production reductions (i.e. Korean) begin to impact open
market availabilities. 64 meg and synchronous devices remain
relatively stable despite the over 10 percent jump on 4Mx4
EDO's.

Unfortunately, the reason that DRAM is going up is due to production reduction and not a surge in demand. That's still not good for semi cap companies.
