Nice review. I'm still holding a few shares, not enough to take a tax loss against profits elsewhere, so I'm patiently waiting for what I believe is the one and only significant factor affecting future earnings: the Chinese lawsuits. The status of these lawsuits is summarized in the latest AMSC annual report to shareholders. The Chinese courts apparently are just sitting back and doing nothing. I take it to mean they would prefer not to hold Sinovel accountable for illegal use of trade secrets and patent infringement, even though the evidence in favor of AMSC is remarkable not just for the violations but for the harm done to the company.

What would make it easier for China to face the truth on this issue is a trade policy with the U.S. where China is recognized as a significant contributor to proprietary technology and given due respect. But the climate for that kind of accommodation seems to be getting worse. That is also why other, much larger U.S. companies doing business in China could be adversely affected. It seems the only favor China has granted the U.S. in recent months is trademark approval for the Trump brand.
