I just got off the phone with Susan Stillings . . . As you can well imagine, she was not that forthcoming with information (due to the quiet period). However, a few things: 1. I asked her about the rumor that Apple was including Zip as standard in all new models. She said that she couldn't comment on this, but I definitely got the impression she was hedging (for what it's worth). 2. I asked her about Iomega not releasing MM milestone figures any more on Zip discs. They are definitely selling 1 MM/month. They can't announce 12 MM anyway as it will occur during the quiet period. They'll discuss it on CC. 3. Jaz 2 is being highlighted at MacWorld. All other products are there, including Rocky's favorite vaporware, Clik!. 4. They will not give any earnings comfort prior to the release date. They just don't do it. 5. The earnings release date is January 22. Anyway, I know this is not too informative, but wanted to share. DISCLAIMER: This information is from my notes from our conversation. I take responsibility for any inaccuracies as it would not be fair to hold Iomega accountable for my inability to take accurate notes. P.S. She said that Rocky should short the stock today. P.S.S. She also told me that my earnings projection was right on the money. :>)
