Balderdash, you have no idea what the solutions are. You have no understanding of the evolution of humanity. The south went along with segregation for a 100 years until the African Americans supported by liberals simply put a top to it. You are the one who keeps defending the right wing, not me. When I talk about Republicans I am talking the party and they seem to be acting pretty evil to me! The supporters are simply ignorant for the most part. I think you need to read the lord of the Flies. Anarchy and the failure of a society to implement humane social systems is what causes most of the human suffering. << No, I want to attack you, until you become part of the solution instead of part of the problem. We ALL need to examine and re-examine our bias toward the "other." Liberals like moi, gave Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton a lot of extra rope because their politics confirmed my own. JFK and MLK "womanizing" too. Our conservative fellow human beings go crazy when we attack one of their icons on "morals" or OMG - -hypocrisy. We gave our busted human-flawed leaders a break because they had compassion for others "beneath their status" while plenty of GOP icons did not appear to, in the post Lincoln, TR and Ike Republican era. The long Nixon >>>> Reagan >>>> Trump era, if you will. The truth is we are all fucking searching for the truth amidst piles of BS. Trump, Sessions, McConnell etc. have stolen the GOP for special interests like the NRA plus Kochs but the average Republican has little understanding of this. Many of my "left" comrades defended Stalin, Mao, ultra nationalist anti-immigrant workers, misogynistic movements, new age quacks and faux Gurus driving Bentley's. In this era, the BS shifted right. But there have been eras when it was the left and our false Gods. So I always hold my hand out to all -- knowing, as in certain thin-skinned RW SI forums that bogusly banned me where I showed no personal malice-- I better wash my hands well before smelling them. Of course. But I still reach out my hand, and I listen to their evidence just-in-case.
