Fro,,,
I am on AOL as we speak, got Mark Koenig on insatant mail..
I am pasting...

TokyoMexx: whats the life expectancy diffrence between iron and cobalt plants..
RNTK1331: life of the plant is the same depending on feedstock reserves. the life of the catalysts are much different as are the types of reactors you use
RNTK1331: not enough to argue about. general consensus is it costs 25000 to 30000 per daily barrel to build one - some things are different but what one needs the other may not and vis a vis it all comes out in the wash as to be about the same . the big unknown is how long does cobalt last. they say 4 years in a fixed bed reactor but no one has run one that long to find out if thats true or not at commercial scale. and then when your done with the cobalt what do you do . its a heavy metal where do you dump it ?

TokyoMexx: go on ...
RNTK1331:thats 25000 to 30000 dollars per daily bbl . do you dump it or store it . some other areas to think about . if there is an intl crisis and strategic metals such as cobalt come in short supply how will this affect gtl and cost to produce . iron based catalyst is for all intents and purposes specialized rust with certain proprietary secrets on its activation . no shortage of rust.

TokyoMexx: rust ?
RNTK1331: iron oxide
TokyoMexx: ahhhhhh

So there you are ...
