With the exception of Adonai, there is no Spirit or Institution that is infallible or foolproof from preventing a flash crash or protracted bear market. By their very nature, bear markets come into being in part when most investors/traders fall asleep or become complacent enough (like yourself) to think the contrary is impossible.

Flash crashes are rare events so I wouldn't waste my time trying to predict when one will occur. But the market is unstable enough and vulnerable (skittish) here that one can't rule out its occurrence.

My view is quite simple: 10% correction this summer (if not a little more) and then a massive blow off before the mother of all bears results. And yes, you will see the most vicious of bear markets under the Trump administration.

Yes. If NK fires a nuke flash crash will be up.

The S&P is going to see a nice correction this summer and after a classic blow off, the Mother of all Bears will result. It will go down as the worst bear market in history.
No one will believe it till it's too late. Those who buy the dips will lose everything. It will be like getting stuck in quick sand.
