very dissapointed with apple's action today...
I can't believe it ;p Someone mentioned S&P reiterated avoid on apple overnight and CS First Boston's upgrade came a little late, then there is the market tanking big time.

Anyone wanna hazard a guess on tomorrow's action?

Regards

It was a very healthy market toady for Apple. The price was down
1+, and voulme was 9M+. Well, think of this way. Today's 9m+ shares
have been changed hands from lower prices to higher prices for people
who took profits, while a few shares might still bet on shorts, but
very limited since Apple has shown its first profitable quarter since
'96 if we count that particular quarter is "real", otherwise it will
be the first time in black over more than two years.

Excuse me for my over-optimistic estimates in my previous post
due to too much excitment about Apple's turning around. Apple's
significant net income is my first wish over other deals or news.

Right now, I am not worried about any shorts volume since sooner or
later they need to be covered, let me say about 3-6 months timeframe.

Phil

I disagree. Are you expecting a surprise on Jan. 14? If not, then why would anything happen to the shorts then that hasn't already happened? I think the next "event" of note will be options expiration (and I have no idea which way that will go).

JMHO.
