Coz,

Thanks for the references. I haven't been part of a "murky subculture" on the "dark side" for 30 years! The thought set off some great memories. That, and your reply to Geoff, made my day. :)

Regards, Carl

Manny takes an indisputably funny jab at Avant's love affair with the word "indisputable":

asensio.com

Note the last sentence of the last paragraph:

<<More importantly, it is indisputably true that Avant! faces liabilities that far exceed any realistic estimate of the value of its assets.>>

Coz...has Stockman informed you he is looking at AXGI ?

LeRoy knows news is coming out...what has he been doing?

Lots of buys at 42 cents today. Strong upward movement all week.

Fidelity should be boycotted.

They are investing money in a bunch of thieves. In a sense, they are also condoning Avant's crimes.

Whatever happened to the good old days when Lynch was running Magellan? Whatever happened to hard work and long-term investments in reputable companies? It seems that nowadays, the Fidelity fund managers (and ex managers such as Vinik) do nothing except play games with momentum gambling and short squeezes.

All this tells me is that I should pull my accounts out of Fidelity and think about hedging my Avant short against volatility. In the long run, I'm sure the good guys will win, no matter how hard Fidelity tries to manipulate the stock.
