I have to think that what Thean said makes a lot of sense. We were here about Dec 15. The charts are very similar. We had the big reveral, gap up the following day...then disaster!

FWIW, EVI and DO appear to have based and show very solid support lines.

I read a link(another thread) that was questioning whether or not the drillers were still good shorts if the rally followed through tomorrow.Looks like some will try to bash down at any opportunity.Perhaps the funds need to come in agressively and buy to thwart the shorts. If Thean is correct(appears so) about the massive shorting then the logical conclusion is that the shorters are getting their stock from the funds, since the drillers have a very high percentage of fund ownership(at least they did). The funds will always get their stock back, the brokers make commissions and collect interest from the shorters.
