Intel isn't going away...

It's never been on my mind. I was talking only that short term they MAY go much lower. INTC is a great co., they command all high margin part of the market and will be doing so in the foreseeable future, esp. with their 64 bit processor.

Iwhen you want to make money in a down market these are not the stocks to bet on..

This is exactly what I mean. Look at MSFT. It still has pe close to 50.

There are a few industry leaders you can bet your mothers pension on Intel, Cisco, Applied Materials, MSFT,IBM

I'd leave AMAT for mother-in -law. This is a heart attack stock. It may have great products and management, but industry itself is extremely cyclical.

Did you watch DJIA behavior just before closing? I think that was exactly what you described a couple of days ago.
