"Almost time for a Tim Hunter update..." Well, what can I say....not much to do these last few weeks but sleep. No news, but none was expected once mid-December rolled around and nothing was released or announced (i.e. new products/OEM deals). I know RP was gone on vacation for much of the last two weeks, and I know that Media-X is rolling PC-GURU into distribution NOW. That has to take some of his attention and time. I hope we will see 2-3 products this quarter, but being in the business, I will say SYCR's development/release schedule appears a bit "overly optimistic". I think the last few months bear that out. I would be happy with one good package per quarter - and in this business, that would be just short of miraculous. Best bet for SYCR is a Big Disk OEM deal which is done and I hope they will announce already!!! Also, new President in place very soon - which I think will help with the overall operations and ability of SYCR to stick to their plans. Expect Fyr 98 Q2 earnings to be similar to Q1, maybe a little better. Christmas was quite good from what I hear, but much of that won't show up until Q3 (ya know, when they get paid). Right now, the current price of $1.46-1.60 is pretty appropriate for the last announced earnings and public news. It will take continued improving earnings, some good deals announced (that indicate big earnings potential), and solid new products to justify bigger moves. I think we will trend up in 1998, and hope that earnings and news justify $3 per share by Spring and $5-6 by December. (And that's just my SWAG, no TA or FA, just a guess based on what I expect them to do this year.) When I hear more I will let everyone know. I've been quiet lately because, frankly, there's just not much new to report. I feel that there is good value here and good upward potential. Incidentally, I feel just as good about MXMX with PC-Guru breaking out now. I think SYCR and MXMX are good tandem moves for this year, so we will see. BTW - If you haven't seen the movie "Titanic", be sure to catch it. You will see me leading the choir in the final scenes. Tim
