Eric, you just don't understand. An electric car doesn't have to be as heavy as the industrial revolution internal combustion engine types. It can be lighter. Try some maths, physics and engineering, and toss in some economics and convenience too. Your checklist is too short. You are missing mission critical items.

There is a big weight penalty by having a ton of battery instead of 100 kg of battery.

Incidentally, when you quote the weight of the battery, it's misleading to quote the weight of just the lithium in the battery. What matters is the total weight from the structural parts of the battery housing too, protective panels, cables and all the bits and pieces.
