Trump wants RNC to pay his legal bills. His former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is on the RNC finance team so he'll probably get the party to pay for his defense. Trump's gonna bankrupt the R party both financially AND morally.

People close to President Trump are pushing the Republican National Committee to pay the legal fees for the president and administration officials involved in various Russia investigations, according to a report Thursday.

Then Washington Post, citing three people with knowledge of the discussions, says the RNC is researching whether its legal defense fund could legally be used to pay for the defense of White House officials facing Russia probes.

The RNC normally uses its defense fund to pay for legal challenges facing the Republican Party, such as an election recount. The RNC has not yet made a decision, the Post said, but many within the organization are reportedly resisting the idea.

RNC officials declined to comment for the Post's story.

Trump, his oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and senior adviser, and Vice President Mike Pence all have retained legal counsel to defend them in the Russian investigations.
