yes, the cardboard grannies are in hong kong, and that is because they can work and get cash, and want to work as opposed to rely on their families, even as family-values keep homeless rate down in hong kong and across asia generally

... is neither here nor there, as hong kong is essentially a city state, and should be compared to other city states, per apples to apples, and not to city states such as monaco where the less well-off are simply de-camping across city line
