Jersey Giant
The Jersey Giant originated in the State of New Jersey, during the
1880's, through a cross of Black Javas, Dark Brahmas and Black
Langshans. In recent years, Cornish blood was introduced in some
strains. As their name implies, Jersey Giant is a large and a very heavy
fowl. White Jersey Giants are a variety developed from sports of the
Black Jersey.

Economic Qualities

Jersey Giants are a general pupose fowl for heavymeat and egg
production. Their skin color is yellow, and their eggs are brown.
