Well I do understand that without Mando.. HKers have some trouble now... Meanwhile the original Chinese in North America who spoke mostly Canto and Taishan (Hosan) wah.. Are now being told by Mando speaking newcomers that they aren't REAL Chinese.. TJ just has a knack for trend spotting :-)) I was recently at a 100 year anniversary celebration for a Chinese Church in Montreal.. Typically in Montreal for such an event it would be Canto French and English.. This go was Mando Canto and French ... Knowing numbers in all three didn't produce a winning raffle ticket for me :-(
