Paul: The nice thing about the Asian flu is that the fever never lasts long and when it ends releases new energy and a sense of well being in the patient. Longer term debilitating effects may linger, but more like a faint weakness than a disease.

I think BAY will become the momentum stock de jour for a while and sometime later in 1998/1999 will begin to attract a better premium and greater proportion of longer term value investors.

I notice that the analyst on the Quicken site projects a long term growth rate of 25% for Bay and 30% for Cisco. It will be interesting to see if those figures change after the next earnings report.

<< I still see good upside to Bay's stock. Bay is the strongest its ever been and the stock price is selling at a 35% discount to its 52-week high. .....

Now if only the Asian flu stops...>>

Paul,

do you know what percentage of BAY business is in Asia, as compared with Cisco, Cabletron and COMS ?
