As bad as it is for Trump, Sessions did the right thing in recusing. As he said at the time, "I should not be involved in investigating a campaign I had a role in."

The best thing for Trump might be if Sessions quits. Sessions was hoping the Russia thing blows over first, but evidently Trump is sick of it. Trump's Rasmussen Approval yesterday tied his old low of 42%. You know Trump hates that.

I think Sessions offers his resignation soon. Maybe today.

He has strong grounds to unrecuse given Mueller's conflict of interest and the fact that the Don Jr story proves there was no pre-existing Russian connection.

If he resigns instead, then it's obvious deep state had dirt on him.

What difference does it make? Can anyone think of anything positive Sessions has done as AG? Has he brought the IRS to justice? Or those responsible for Fast and Furious? Or Clinton? Or the leaks? Or anything related to the corrupt swamp under Obama?

The amazing thing about the nyt interview was Trump saying Mueller should stay out of his families finances.

Someone needs to get in the POTUS ear and tell him to focus on his political agenda and leave the rest to his legal team. He's not going to survive 4 years, let alone 8, by reacting to every single attack.
