To all - Re Post posting just above, sorry but I forgot to invite others to also send any comments to me on the value of the Silicon Investor in levelling the playing field for the Investor. You can e-mail me if you prefer.

Jimsy: I think you've got most of it covered...I might add that the SI Forums are also a place where one can learn and gain knowledge from professionals in countless fields or from those who may not be considered highly educated, but may have had on hand experiences in all aspects of life and skills... In this age of discount brokerages which offer less for your money, or even full service brokerages which are only interested in cranking out comission dollars to fatten their bottom lines, I feel that the SI is a place where one come and share, or gain information for in order to make personal investment decisions as a result of his or her own due dilligence... The internet has opened the "world" into making investment decisions based on his or her own research and has lightened ones dependance of others to make decisions for them... ...ed ps: I may come up with a few more later...
