Microsoft still does not even have a grasp on why investor's, software companies, and the consumer have turned on them! Its because consumer's like to have a choice "stupid"! I just read the latest story that Microsoft does not understand why their public image has been tarnished. They now want to create a warm and fuzzy Microsoft, and still ram their software down our throats. Lets face it, modestly changed software year after year, premium prices, no return incentives, no customer service to speak of, and monolistic tactics into all aspects of our lives. Forget it! The problem is beyond skin deep, it is the heart and core, of the way Microsoft conducts it's business. Microsoft made a fatal mistake, and while they ponder their next move, they will probably bleed to death. Yes, bleed to death. This little incident is going to haunt them in a much bigger way, unless they basically concede defeat on this issue, and make a fair compromise. At this point, they remain clueless. Their little fight is going to spill over into all their software. I admit I own, or have purchased many Microsoft products, and at this point will seroiusly consider any future products, now before buying one of their's. In the past, their was very few choices. I enjoy Netscape's browser, well above and beyond, Microsoft's version. Actually I would say, Microsoft basically tried to replicate it. Talk about original. Needless to say, the big boys made a crucial mistake, that will spill over into all their future activities. These faint attempts of "were not really a bad company" are simply pathetic. Sorry, Gerald for posting on your page, just wanted to join in on the sweeping tidal wave.
