What do you use to clean your solar panels, Eric? Looks to me like they should be put on the ground so you don't have to climb up on the roof to wash them. You'll likely say there's no dust or pollen or salt spray (even though you're right on the sound) in Seattle:

I can see this guy slipping off his wet roof even though its pretty flat. It was wet after he started washing.

HORROR ! ! ! The best way to destroy your solar panels! Do NOT use chemicals and NO high pressure! DANGER! ! ! Use ONLY special brushes and high purity (demineralized) water! Otherwise you destroy your solar system!?

Use American Polywater corporation's Solar Panel wash for cleaning solar panels. It does not contain any types of solvents,it is PH Neutral,it does not contains alkaline, chlorine, phosphates etc. Also it is biodegradable. Its not hazardous to human as well as animal and plant life. It is environment Friendly.?

Here in Florida the solar panel array should be cleaned every single week or every other week. Tree pollen and dust will make the panels very inefficient if they are not cleaned enough.

do not use normal soap very bad for panels. there is a solar panel wash you can buy but it is expensive, a little simple green will work fine. but I would not use westcoast solar energy to clean my panels if this is how they are doing it.?

Washing them does make them work better:

Shading really drops your production down - even a little bit of shading,. One cell shaded really drops the whole panel down a lot. This guy can drop his power output down a whole lot by holding a hand over one cell and shading it .... Eric says the clouds in Seattle don't cause any problem at all .... how to reconcile that? Someone is FOS and I don't think its the guy who videos his power output with and without minor shading:
